- מְצוּדְתָּאf. ch. = h. מְצוּדָה, 1) net, trap. Y.Kil.I, 27a bot. הכא פרס כהנא מְצוּדְתֵּיהוכ׳ herewith Kahăna laid his net for Resh Lakish and caught him; Gen. R. s. 7, end (some ed. מְצַדְתֵּיה); a. e. 2) stronghold.Pl. מְצוּדָתָא. Targ. Jud. 6:2 (ed. Lag. מְצָדָאתָא). V. מְצַדְתָּא.
